1. Rental Agreement
1.1 The rental agreement starts from daily, weekly, or monthly basis. The hirer must inform Speed Drive Rent A Car before the end of the contract if they wish to upgrade or extend the contract.
1.2 If the hirer wants to terminate the contract early, they must pay the daily rental charges for the used period.
2. Security Deposit
2.1 A security deposit is required for every rental: a. 2,000 - 3,000 AED for SUVs & luxury cars. b. 1,000 AED for standard cars.
2.2 The deposit is fully refundable within two weeks once the car is returned in the same condition and there are no fines on the car.
3. Documents Required
3.1 Minimum Age Requirement: 25 years.
3.2 Required documents for UAE residents: a. Valid UAE driving license copy. b. Valid Emirates ID copy. c. Passport copy.
3.3 Required documents for tourists: A valid international driving license. Copy of ID. Copy of passport. Copy of visit visa. Security deposit of 2,000 AED or original passport.
4. Prices
4.1 Prices cover maintenance and third-party insurance as per the legal policy.
4.2 Fuel is the renter's responsibility.
4.3 Chauffeur service and translator guide can be arranged upon request for added convenience.
5. Mileage Limit
5.1 The rental includes a mileage limit of: a. 250 km per day. b. 1,400 km per week. c. 5,000 km per month.
5.2 If the allocated mileage is exceeded, additional charges will apply: Standard cars: 0.5 AED per extra kilometer. SUVs & luxury cars: 3 to 5 AED per extra kilometer, depending on the model.
6. Payments
6.1 The full rental fee is collected at the start of the rental.
6.2 The minimum rental period is 1 day.
6.3 If the car is returned late: a. 1/3 of the daily rate is charged for every extra hour. b. If the delay exceeds 3 hours, a full additional day’s charge will apply.
7. Traffic Fines
7.1 Any traffic fines incurred during the rental period must be paid within 2 days.
7.2 Failure to pay within the timeframe will result in an additional charge of 200 AED.
8. Salik & Fuel
8.1 The customer is responsible for Salik (toll charges) and fuel costs.
8.2 The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at the time of rental.
9. Insurance
9.1 The hirer must pay 1,500 AED as insurance excess in case of an accident caused by the driver’s/hirer’s mistake, plus 20% of the insurance invoice amount.
10. Maintenance & Service
10.1 The hirer must bring the car to a Speed Drive Rent A Car authorized workshop when required for service or maintenance.
10.2 The hirer cannot perform any service, maintenance, or modifications without official permission from Speed Drive Rent A Car.
10.3 Legal action will be taken against the hirer if any unauthorized repairs or modifications are made.
11. Liability & Responsibility
11.1 The renter is fully responsible for any damages, losses, or violations incurred during the rental period.
11.2 Any illegal activities or misuse of the vehicle will lead to immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund.
12. Governing Law
12.1 These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
12.2 Any disputes arising from the rental agreement shall be resolved through legal proceedings in the UAE.
